Student Development and Counselling

Student Development and Counseling strives to enhance the well-being and success of SAIT students by providing free in-person, telephone, or video appointments for current SAIT students. Walk-ins are welcome. Virtual counseling is accessible by appointment in advance only, offered between 9 am and 4 pm. Please note that students must reside in the province of Alberta. For SAIT students residing outside of Alberta, Student Development and Counselling offers referrals to alternative resources.

Wellness Centre

SAIT's Wellness Centre, currently housed in a temporary location, welcomes SAIT's present students and staff. The facility is equipped with exercise machines, weights, and a full-size basketball court that can be utilized for badminton and volleyball as well. During your visit, you can borrow various equipment for free, such as basketballs, volleyballs, badminton gear, and more. Access to the facility requires a SAIT eCard.

Natoysopoyiis

SAIT Main Campus. The Natoysopoyiis, meaning "holy wind lodge," serves as a gathering space for Canadian Indigenous (First Nations, Metis, and Inuit) students at SAIT. The Lodge provides an environment for connecting with peers and accessing advising services. Functioning as a hub of learning, Natoysopoyiis extends an invitation to the entire SAIT community to explore and understand the histories and cultures of First Nations, Metis, and Inuit people.

Headversity Resilience Training

Headversity is a dedicated resilience coaching platform, which SAIT students can access for free through the mobile app or web-browser with an invite code below. Headversity provides resources to cultivate essential skills and attributes like self-expertise, mindfulness, mental health and energy management. Embark on a transformative experience and thrive amidst adversity.

Therapy Assistance Online (TAO)

TAO is a hub with over 150 brief yet impactful educational sessions addressing more than 50 topics and skills related to mental health, wellness, and substance use issues. The interactive sessions, mindfulness exercises, and practice tools within TAO aim to assist you in achieving your goals. Resilience 101

SAIT offers a co-curricular activity Resilience 101. The program involves approximately 12 hours of online content. Participants progress at their own pace, with all responses on personal logs and wellness measures kept confidential. There is no cost for students to participate, and specific registration instructions will be provided upon contacting resilience.101@sait.ca.
